Wow, Christmas has come and gone. It is amazing how time flies, especially the older I get. As a kid Christmas seemed to take forever to come. Now that I am older it seems to blow by. I still get excited though. In fact, I was the first one awake and ready to get the day started. I awoke at about 6:45am. I laid in bed for about five minutes before waking Kristi to ask if we could open presents yet. "No" was her response. I asked several more times, laid my legs and arms across Kristi's body and face, and even tried to go back to sleep. No luck. I did the next best thing. I got up and watched my favorite daytime t.v show "Price is Right." By this time it was 9:00am.

At a little past 10:00am, everyone was awake (unheard of when I was a kid). I have a family who likes their sleep. As we were about to open gifts, phone calls started coming in. We had to put the phone calls on hold so we could get down to the business of opening gifts. It is so fun watching everyone open their gifts. We open gifts one at a time so the process took a little over two hours to complete. Kristi and I saved a couple of ours for last. By the time we went to open ours the kids were no longer interested and were off playing or bugging us to open the boxes to their new toys.
Kristi made us a great raspberry-chipolte ham dinner with baked potatoes covered with cheese and broccoli. It was awesome. I love the raspberry-chipolte glaze. HAM WITH A KICK!
As usual we had a white Christmas. It snowed all day and was pretty cold. Oh well, it lets you know your ALIVE!

All in all we had a great time. It is so fun spending time with the family. We are so thankful for Jesus. He is the reason for the season. I am so thankful Jesus came to this world for OUR benefit. To give us the ultimate Christmas gift. SALVATION! I am so unworthy of his gift. Thank you Jesus and happy birthday!
